Young girls are often married off in exchange for bride price to ease the financial strain of drought on their families. Many flee to rescue homes to escape this fate, seeking safety and a chance to continue their education.
The Solution
FODDAJ is on the frontlines, providing a lifeline to women and girls in Kajiado. They support rescue homes where girls escaping child marriage find refuge, education, and hope. FODDAJ also empowers women through training programs that help them rebuild their livelihoods, support their families, and foster unity within their communities.
